VILLAGE OF MILFORD-ON-SEA
Milford-on-Sea is a village on the
coast between Barton-on-Sea and Lymington. Until late in the
1800's it was hamlet of thatched cottages along the High Street. Now it is lined
with shops and tea rooms. As one approaches the village, there stands the mock Tudor building. This was erected early 1900, as shown by
the machine cut timbers.

The Old Smithy is standing on the edge of the Village Green. It is the surviving part of the 19th. Century smithy. The Blacksmith was a key figure when horses were an essential part of life, but nowadays he is no longer required.
